Authorities Arrest Louisiana Woman For Stabbing Grandfather In The Face

Authorities in Louisiana have arrested a 22-year-old woman for allegedly stabbing her grandfather in the face following a disagreement over her general hygiene.

Deputies from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance call t at Keithville, Louisiana, where they found the suspect’s grandfather stabbed. According to a statement from the sheriff’s office, 22-year-old Carrington Elise Harris and her grandparents got into an argument over her refusal to take a bath.
Authorities said the 22-year-old threw a violent tantrum that saw her become irate. Harris allegedly damaged properties inside the house before going out of the house and cutting power to the home.

Authorities revealed that the woman’s grandparents had tried to restrain her, but she escaped and ran into the kitchen, where she grabbed a knife and stabbed her grandfather in the face.

The 22-year-old fled into a nearby woods, where she hid from responding deputies. However, Deputies arrested Harris in the woods following a search that lasted several hours. Authorities booked Harris into the Caddo County Correctional Center, where she is currently being held without bond. The 22-year-old is charged with one count each of Domestic Abuse Battery and Domestic Abuse Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
According to Fox News, Harris’ grandfather was taken to the Willis-Knighton South and the Center for Women’s Health in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he was treated for his injury. Authorities did not reveal his identity or give any update on his condition.
The 22-year-old records with the sheriff’s office revealed that she had a previous arrest for domestic abuse battery earlier this year. However, the specifics of that case and any other individuals involved remain unclear. Her bond was set at $250 for the earlier arrest.
