Dershowitz Wants Special Counsel To Probe Hunter, President Biden Relationship

Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz has called for a new special counsel to probe the relationship between President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.

Dershowitz made the call amid growing evidence of influence peddling, bribery and money laundering against the president and members of his family. The law professor, who is a Democrat and Biden supporter,  told Fox News that he would be calling for a special counsel if he was the president.

“Well, it pains me to say this because I like Joe Biden,” Dershowitz said. “I’ve known him for 40 years. I’d like to vote for him in the next election, but the time has come to appoint an independent, outside special counsel to investigate the relationship between Hunter Biden and President Biden. In fact, if I were Joe Biden, I would be calling for a special counsel to take this case out of the partisan House of Representatives, to bring it to somebody who is beyond any reproach, a great former president of a university, dean of a law school, somebody who can look at this thing. It is very complicated. And you need to look at it with a totally clear, objective eye. The allegations are serious. But the evidence has to back up the allegations. And a special outside counsel can do this.”

Dershowitz, who noted that he made the same call for a special counsel to investigate former President Donald Trump, added that he only wants to see a balanced investigation.

“I want to see full and equal justice done,” Dershowitz added. I want to see everything that is happening on one side happen on the other. If I were Joe Biden, I would say, bring it on, especially if he’s innocent. A special counsel will help me because it will be neutral and objective.”

Dershowitz, a lifelong Democrat, has been speaking up on the double standards and unequal standard of justice within President Biden’s Justice Department. The law professor accused the DOJ of giving Hunter Biden immunity for nothing while arguing that Hunter’s collapsed plea deal is the opposite of how plea deals work.
