GOP Governor Endorses Trump For 2024

Despite his legal woes and constant court appearances, former President Donald Trump’s 2024 race continues to gain momentum, with the former president securing another major endorsement over the weekend.
Texas GOP Gov. Greg Abbott endorsed the former president on Sundays during a campaign event held 30 miles away from the Mexico border. The Republican governor said he was endorsing Trump because the country needs a president who will protect the border and restore law and order.
“We need a president who is going to secure the border,” Abbott said. “We need a president who is going to restore law and order in the United States of America, not letting these criminals run ransack over the stores that you see images of almost nightly. We need a president who is going to restore world peace, as opposed to this outbreak of warfare under Joe Biden. We need Donald J. Trump back as our president of the United States of America. I’m here to officially proclaim my endorsement for Donald J. Trump to be President of the United States of America again.”

Abbott reiterated his support for Trump‘s 2024 presidential run in an X post, adding that the country needs the former president “now more than ever.”

Today, I am proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for President,” Abbott wrote on X. “Now more than ever, America needs a President who will secure the border and prioritize national security. President Trump is the clear choice to get the job done.”
Abbot’s endorsement comes days after Arkansas GOP Gov. Sarah Huckabee endorsed the former president, who used to be her boss when she worked in the White House.

“We’ve got out-of-control inflation, violent crime, an open border, a rising China,” Sanders said. “Biden and the left have failed over and over again, and they know it, and you know it, and it is time for a change. That is why tonight I am so proud to endorse my former boss, my friend, and everybody’s favorite president, Donald J. Trump.”
