Sen. Rubio’s Revelation Will Provide Encouragement For Israel

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) delivered a much-needed boost to the people of Israel and their army with the latest comments he made while speaking on I24.

Following last week’s Hamas attack on the Jewish State, The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) declared war on the terror group and has since launched a host of land and air strikes on Hamas’ stronghold in Gaza

However, concerns over whether the U.S. will be able to provide Israel with the necessary support it needs have continued to grow. Those concerns arose due to the current drama in Congress with the House currently not having a speaker.

Asked if the absence of a speaker will prevent Congress from providing assistance to Israel, Rubio maintained that the Saga surrounding Congress will not have any impact on the U.S.’ ability to assist Israel. Rubio maintained that, as part of the Defence Authorization Act —which was signed into law in 2021—, the U.S. already has $3.3 billion defense cooperation with Israel.

Rubio added that the fund has already been used to order the weapons that Israel will need in the war. Rubio, however, added that the material that Israel may resupply might be different than what was anticipated

“I think you’ll find all the support you need in Washington, and we’ll have the mechanism to deliver it,” Rubio said. “I think what’s important is that we understand that the baselines are already there. The authorities are already there. At some point, if more is needed – and it probably will be – we’ll need to know exactly what that is, and I don’t think there’ll be any impediments to getting it done.”

Rubio maintained that Hamas wants nothing more than the destruction of Israel. Rubio added that Hamas needs to be wiped out and the U.S. has no other option than to support Israel in achieving that goal.

“It is an unfortunate situation. I don’t know what other options Israel has at this point but to do everything it can to make this [Hamas] a non-visible group. And I don’t think the United States has any choice but to be on Israel’s side of this fight against pure evil,” Rubio concluded.
