White House Hoists LGBT Flag At White House

The White House placed the “Progress Pride Flag” at the center of the building’s iconic pillars, between two American flags this week. During a ceremony Saturday, President Joe Biden hosted a number of activists for an “all-American picnic” at the executive mansion.

Biden made a number of statements which received considerable criticism from conservatives.

He said that for “all the progress we’ve made, we know challenges still remain. When a person can be married in the morning but thrown out of a restaurant for being gay in the afternoon, something is still very wrong in America.”

The president also said that he wanted to “send a message to the entire community, especially to transgender children: you are loved. You are heard. You’re understood. And you belong.”

The event was part of a plan to celebrate “America’s LGBTQ families” and featured rainbow-themed decorations, music and a small crowd.

Furthermore, Biden criticized recent Republican legal efforts, including barring gender-change treatment for minors.

Biden said that “families across the country face excruciating decisions to relocate to a different state to protect their child from dangerous” recently-enacted laws.

“We need to push back against the hundreds of callous and cynical bills introduced in states targeting transgender children, terrifying families and criminalizing doctors and nurses,” the president said.

Biden further said that such “bills and laws attack the most basic values and freedoms we have as Americans.”

The president said that the assembled group showed “courage” and included “some of the bravest and most inspiring people.”

He added that the group generates “so much hope for people.”

“Hope and light,” he said.

The president added that the crowd enriched “every part of American life.”

“You set an example for the nation and, quite frankly, for the world,” he said.

At the center of the White House was the “Progress Pide Flag” which received considerable attention since the 2020 death of George Floyd.

Advisor to former President Donald Trump Stephen Miller said that “America has been humiliated, debauched and debased. A warning about how civilizations unravel from within.”
