You Don’t Do This In Oklahoma!!! Mullin Reacts After Fight Challenge

Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK), while speaking on Fox News, reacted to a bizarre event that took place on the Senate floor earlier.

Sean O’Brien —president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters— had previously accused the Senator as a “greedy CEO.”

“Greedy CEO who pretends like he’s self made. In reality, just a clown & fraud. Always has been, always will be. Quit the tough guy act in these senate hearings. You know where to find me. Anyplace, Anytime cowboy,” O’Brien wrote on X, accompanied by a picture of the Senator.

Mullin, during a Senate hearing,  challenged the witness to a fight in front of his colleagues.

“Sir, this is a time, this is a place. You wanna run your mouth, we can be two consenting adults, we can finish it here,” Mullin said, before standing to fight.

Only an intervention from Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Chairman Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) stopped both men from getting into a physical fight.

Mullin responded to the incident in an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, calling O’Brien a “thug” who is all talk and no action.

“I’m a guy from Oklahoma first, and in Oklahoma, you don’t do this. Maybe you run your mouth in New Jersey,” Mullin said. “But this is some thug that’s a mob boss. And you’re supposed to be intimidating because he’s the boss of the Teamsters– and he’s gotten away with this. You’re not going to run your mouth at me and expect me to sit there and — you should have seen the fear in his eyes when I stood up, too. And I’m not joking. I’m not looking for a fight. I used to get paid to fight professionally. I’m not really looking for it, but I’m sure not going to sit back and let somebody do that and not call him out on it.”
